This is a circa 1950 simple ranch cottage that is done over and is located on the ocean, close to numerous other attractions in the area. It makes for a great staging area for the out-of-doors hearted as well as a creative “cocoon” for the artistically productive. The cottage sleeps four, has 2 small bedrooms (two twins / queen), 1 bath, galley kitchen, and open living space with views of the ocean (100’). North Lake Harbour is an easy walk, 500 meters away, and is convenient to the International Tuna Cup Challenge competition in September. Eastern PEI is one of the quieter places along the north shore and in the off season the cottage contains an especially nice vantage point for watching the transitions of seasons and human activity so witnessed in the farms and the harbor. The area distills back to its quintessential “Canadian-ness”, and a guest who is “Home from away” can feel the cultural remoteness and essence of it all. |
